Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium is excited to present the Tucson premiere of 3-2-1 Liftoff!, an award-winning animated fulldome adventure for children and families. The show's first public screening takes place Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. in the EOS Foundation Planetarium Theater.

The initial run of 3-2-1 Liftoff! is generously sponsored by Hughes Federal Credit Union.

The family-friendly film follows Alan, an aspiring hamster scientist, as he teams up with a stranded robot on a race against time to return it to its spaceship before it departs for Mars. Along the way, audiences are introduced to concepts related to science, engineering, problem-solving, and space travel through a fun and engaging story.

Since its release, 3-2-1 Liftoff! has earned international recognition, including Best Children's Film at Dome Fest West and Best Feature Film honors at both Immerse Fulldome UK and the Jena Fulldome Festival in Germany.

Recommended for children and families, 3-2-1 Liftoff! combines colorful animation, humor, and adventure in an immersive planetarium experience designed to inspire curiosity about science and exploration.

Admission to the planetarium show includes access to Flandrau's interactive science exhibits, including the new Mysteries of the Cosmos: Life in the Universe exhibition. Tickets are available online and at the front desk.
