An interactive, technology-driven exhibit connecting the visitor to wondrous worlds of science.

Journey through immersive displays and interactives to see yourself in science! You'll unravel the mysteries of the human brain, discover how the James Webb Space Telescope peers into distant solar systems, determine the conditions needed to create a monsoon rainstorm, and uncover fascinating science facts along the way. You'll also have access to interviews with over 30 University of Arizona researchers through our "Ask a Scientist" kiosks.

Inner-Scientist Mirror

Stand in front of this interactive digital mirror and your scientist avatar will mirror your actions in one of 18 fields (geology, astronomy, engineering, botany, and more). Which scientist will pop up for you? 

Hint: Jump or quickly clap your hands high above your head to change avatars!

JWST Mirror Wall

View a nearly life-size model of a the James Webb Space Telescope's (JWST) primary mirror and use the touch screen interface to dive deeper into JWST images and science. Also, see examples of the powerful cameras and instruments the JWST uses to observe deep space. Nearby, you'll find the infrared mirror to see yourself in new wavelengths of light!

Dial up a Monsoon Thunderstorm!

In our Sky Islands area, create the perfect conditions for a summer storm. You'll hear the thunder of lightning around you and discover activities that reveal more about these fascinating mountain biomes.

  • Scientific Images Guessing Game - Guess what is pictured between photos taken by microscopes, satellites, and even telescopes.
  • "Interview" Scientists - Throughout the exhibits, visit multiple scientists in our kiosks to learn about their profession and their passions for science!
Tiny Science Zone
  • Periodic Table explorer - Learn about different elements and how they contribute to our everyday life with our periodic table touchscreen kiosk, and if you're confident enough, take the quiz!
  • Chaotic Pendulums - Learn about the Chaos theory and see it in action with interactive pendulums!
Neuroscience Zone
  • The Brain Collaboration Game - Work together, using a magnetic crane, to get scientists to their labs with our Brain Collaboration game.
  • AI Challenge - Can you tell the difference between AI generated images and photographs? Put your skills to the test with the Artificial Intelligence Challenge.
Sky Islands Zone
  • Lifezone Survival Game - Try to populate different habitats with the correct plant and animal life and survive.
