When

6:30 – 7:30 p.m., June 20, 2025

Space Travelers Union is a collective founded by Ryan Wheless dedicated to pushing the boundaries of acoustic and electronic fusion. Influenced by the likes of Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Robert Glasper, Yussef Dayes, and Toro y Moi, they have quickly made its mark, catching the attention of key industry figures. Space Travelers Union: No Surface is an improvised creative music performance combining live acoustic and electronic sound with real-time projections to blur the line between music and visuals, creating the feeling of weightlessness and drift.

This one-night collaboration between Space Travelers Union and Tucson-based projection artist Tucker Grams transforms the planetarium dome into an experimental site for deep listening and exploration. Improvisation forms the core of the performance, with small fragments of composed material woven in. Space Travelers Union: No Surface is part of the Tucson Studio Project.
