The Skies the Limit: What to Expect
Visitors will enjoy a futuristic and astronomical aesthetic as they journey from desert landscapes to the galaxy far beyond our skies.
You'll learn from University of Arizona experts of life beyond our planet, enjoy plenty of interactive activities, and admire artwork depicting scenes from the ever-expanding cosmos.
Start from a serene desert night
As approach the entrance to the exhibit, you'll be greeted by a 18 ft. tall sculpture of a saguaro cactus with a built-in bench at the base and a huge print of one of accomplished night-sky photographer Sean Parker's starry night photos.
Launch into space
Once in the exhibit proper, you'll find an opportunity to build a simulation of a multi-stage rocket launch. Engineer your own launch sequence to low Earth orbit or all the way to Mars.
Explore exoplanets and the possibilities of life
Now that you've left the comforts of Earth, more discoveries await you. Study exoplanets using real data from the James Webb Space Telescope, ponder the possibilities of life in other solar systems, and meet some possibilities of what life might look like on other worlds using a visual simulator that follows your movements.
