Spooktacular Science Sunday!

Oct. 28, 2018

The beakers are bubbling again for our annual Spooktacular Science event at the Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium. This celebration delivers haunted holiday high-jinks for the whole family!

We’ll have frightfully fun activities from UA student science groups, as well as slippery slime, liquid nitrogen, arts and crafts, and Halloween Treats & Trinkets!

Plus, we’ll be showing our popular Halloween laser music show “Fright Lights” in the cool comfort of the Eos Planetarium Theater. You’ll shiver to the sounds of your favorite spooky songs like ThrillerMonster Mash, and Purple People Eater as dazzling laser images dance on the planetarium done.

When you visit you can also see one of the amazing fulldome planetarium shows in our fall lineup like “Perfect Little Planet” or “We Are Stars.” These fun, informative shows are perfect for families.

The Spooktacular festivities will take place on Sunday, October 28, from 12noon until 5pm.

Come in costume and you’ll be entered in a drawing for a free family membership!

PLEASE NOTE: Saturday, October 27 is the UA Homecoming football game, so Flandrau will offer our reduced game-day admission prices: $4 for exhibits and $4 for planetarium shows.
