Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium's Response To Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)
Due to increased concerns regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and in the interest of the health of our visitors, staff and community, Flandrau will be temporarily closed until further notice, effective March 14, 2020.
This decision is in line with steps the University of Arizona has taken to further mitigate the spread of COVID-19, and as a science center, we are compelled to follow the science and best practices for social distancing as outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Arizona Department of Public Health.
We will continue to work closely with the University of Arizona to coordinate our efforts and will plan to reopen to the public when the time is right. Please continue to check our website and look for announcements via email and social media for updates. We look forward to welcoming you back to Flandrau soon.
The College of Science has created a page to keep our students, faculty and staff up to date with COVID-19 preparation plans.
The University of Arizona Campus Health also has a page that serves as the central location for updates and guidance from the University of Arizona on the novel coronavirus COVID-19.
