Do you want your kids to stay active and learning all summer long? Choose UA Fusion Camps to promote active minds and bodies this summer!
At UA Fusion, our camps strike the right balance between screen-free activities (arts and crafts, literacy, games and exercise) with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) exploration. Our popular Fusion Camps are located at the amazing Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium on the University of Arizona campus.
We offer camps for 8 weeks in the summer for Kindergarten, 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th and 5th-6th grades. Our week long sessions give students the opportunity to dive into a topic they may not get exposed to during the school year. This exposure just might trigger a new interest that could inspire their future.
We feel that there are many ways of learning, including through the arts and physical activity. Not only will each day include arts and crafts as a vehicle to teach concepts, but also physical activity, hands-on science explorations and time to explore the science center’s exhibit galleries. With trips to the UA Rec Center and Gittings Gym each week, campers are sure to engage their bodies as well as their minds.
We are fortunate to be a part of a rigorous academic environment at the University of Arizona and so we select undergraduate and graduate students with backgrounds in education or science to serve as counselors as well as local teachers. All of our counselors are trained extensively.
